Feeding hungry babies
There’s been a lot of talk, and quite a bit of controversy, about feeding choices - breast or bottle. As far as we're concerned, the choice has to be yours. If you opt for bottle feeding, we can recommend many good products on the market to help support you.
Along with the bottles, teats and steriliser, if you're using formula milk a dispenser is really handy. They often carry several pre-measured portions of your baby’s milk powder, and so they're ideal for travel.
There are many bottles on the market to suit your baby’s needs. Some, such as Dr Brown’s produce bottles that help babies who suffer from colic, as they have a special valve inside which eliminates air as baby sucks.
The Philips Avent Bottle Feeding Solutions Pack is a great set to buy and very good value. It contains everything you'll need to bottle feed your baby. Don’t worry if you’re on a tight budget, as the items in the set can be purchased separately too, allowing you to buy items as and when you need them.

As your baby grows and they start to need more than just milk, weaning then begins.
Pre-prepared foods are popular, but there have been concerns expressed about the quantity of salt, sugar and additives in them. There’s no doubting their convenience, but we’re certainly finding that for reasons of economy too, many mums are now turning to home-made meals. The Beaba Cook steamer/blender is a very good buy, enabling you to prepare and cook baby’s food with one neat product.
If your little one is ready for solids, we've lots of brightly coloured dinner sets that will make meal times extra fun.
