ENTER THE HAUNTED HOUSE

Forget pristine arrangements, you need fake cobwebs (or real ones if you've got a few hanging around!), Candles, witches hats, bunting, and the odd creepy crawly.

Demonstrate your interior design expertise by including a halloween tree decorated with artistic sparkly skulls (available in our shops), witches hats and bats.

Pumpkins aren’t optional, so make sure you have plenty, whether you’re carving them yourself or you’re opting for ornamental pieces, put them everywhere.

Once the inside of your house is suitably spooky, you need to focus on the outside. Pave the way for little monsters to knock on the door by lining your path or driveway with lanterns (and of course, more pumpkins). Remember, no door is complete without a halloween-inspired wreath.

WHAT'S YOUR POISON ?

It's thirsty work being scary so make sure you have punch bowls and glassware to keep your guests hydrated. It's a fun touch to add spooky accessories (coming soon). This is no time for your finest china, instead you need halloween plates, ideally decorated with creepy crawlies.

Of course, a big part of halloween is treats. If you're bulk-making fairy cakes than you'll need the right baking tools, but you'll also need somewhere to store these sweets and snacks. Have some bowls ready for wrapped sweets and hide a few rubbery insects in there, then encourage your guests to have a good dig around!

Pumpkins

FOR THE LITTLE MONSTERS

Buckets for stashing sweets and inflatable decorations are must-haves. Have some orange or red juice at the ready with fun straws and accessories for an authentic halloween feel. If you'd rather limit the sweettreats then soft toys make a good alternative, maybe a black cat or bat to mark the occasion.

Halloween costumes

LOOK THE PART

Let your imagination go wild. A witch costume, or gory mask are always great, but kids might prefer to dress up as a princess or Batman, maybe even a princess on a broomstick ? There are no restrictions-take a look at our collection of costumes, or get crafty and transform old clothing into a unique outfit.
