Collect+ from local shops

From 8pm on Tuesday 9 October to 8pm on Thursday 11 October, we're reducing the price for all Collect+ orders from £3.50 to £2.50

What is Collect+?

You can Collect+ from one of thousands of local shops nationwide for just £3.50.

There are over 7,000 local shops participating in the Collect+ scheme. Choose a shop that’s convenient to you and pick up at a time that suits. Find your nearest shop here. Check the opening times of your chosen shop as they all differ.

How do I order using Collect+?

We’ll give you a choice between delivery and collection at checkout. If a Collect+ location is easiest for you, please select ‘collection’ and enter your postcode. You’ll be shown your nearest Collect+ locations below details of our closest shops. Select your preferred Collect+ collection point and proceed with your order.

Cost and timings

Collect+ costs £3.50 per order. 

When do I need to order for next day Collect+?

Order before 6pm Sunday to Friday for next day delivery.

If you order after 6pm Sunday to Thursday, your order will be ready to collect the day after tomorrow.

If you order after 6pm Friday or at any time on Saturday, you’ll be able to collect on Monday at the earliest.

Collecting my order

How will I know when my Collect+ order is ready?

Collect+ will send you an email when your order is ready, confirming your unique barcode, pickup location and address.

If you’ve given us your mobile number, we’ll also send you a text when your order is ready for collection. You can collect as soon as you’ve received either your email or text.

What do I need to bring to collect my order?

Bring your phone with you to show the unique 7-digit barcode from your text message or email as proof of purchase, or print out the email confirming your order is ready for pickup. You’ll also need your ID.

Collect+ accept the following forms of ID:

  • Cheque guarantee / Credit / Debit Card
  • Bank / Building society book
  • Valid passport
  • Cheque book
  • Driving licence
  • Utility bill

If you paid entirely with gift vouchers, a gift card or PayPal, bring either your passport or photocard driving licence with you.

If someone else is collecting your order, they must bring your order number, unique barcode and your proof of ID.

How long will you hold my order?

The Collect+ location will hold your order for 10 days, after which they will return it to our warehouse and we’ll refund your account. This may take up to 14 days to process from the date the order leaves the shop.

Which shop will my order go to?

When you place your order, you’ll be able to select a shop that’s convenient to you. The name of your selected Collect+ shop will appear in your email confirmation.

Can someone collect on my behalf?

We're happy for someone else to collect your order, but to prevent fraud, the person you've nominated must present your order number, unique barcode and your photo ID (passport or photocard driving licence).

Help with my Collect+ order

How will I know when my Collect+ order is ready?

Please check the junk mail folder within your email account, as occasionally confirmation emails can end up here.

You need the unique barcode within the confirmation to collect parcels from the Collect+ location. If you don’t have this for any reason, please contact Customer services, who will be able to provide it for you.

Can I change my chosen Collect+ location?

You would need to cancel the original order before despatch in order to change the location of your pickup, and place it again to go to your preferred location. If the item has already been despatched, you would have to re-order to your preferred location.

If you leave the original order uncollected, after 10 days the Collect+ shop will return it to our warehouse and we’ll refund your account. This may take up to 14 days to process once we receive the order back into the warehouse.

I haven’t received an email or text message to confirm my order has arrived.

If you haven’t received a confirmation email or text message by the end of the day you’re expecting your order to arrive, contact Customer Services. Remember to check your junk or spam email folder, as occasionally our confirmation emails will end up there.

I was unable to collect my Collect+ order. When will I be refunded?

The Collect+ location will hold your order for 10 days, and after that they will return it to our warehouse and we’ll refund your account. This may take up to 14 days to process from the date the order was returned to us.

I would like to return my Collect+ order.

You can return your Collect+ order to any John Lewis & Partners shop, and also have the following options so long as the parcel you're returning does not exceed the maximum weight or dimension restrictions of the courier:

  • Return to a local shop via Collect+
  • Post it back by Royal Mail
  • Arrange collection or return your order to a participating Evri store

Exceptions

Why is Collect+ not available in Northern Ireland?

Collect+ is temporarily unavailable in Northern Ireland while we make adjustments in line with new Government legislation.

Why is Collect+ not available for my items?

Our collection services are only available on items which can be delivered by a single courier, so heavier items which need two people to carry them won’t be suitable for Collect+. In addition, items delivered by our approved supplier won’t be available for Collect+.
